Jessica & Seth | Maternity Session in Historic Herring Hotel

The baby in that belly? That’s my niece, Waverly!! Seeing my sister and brother-in-law, Jessica & Seth, prepare for their first baby has been so special, and of course we had to take some maternity photos together. My sister has had a vision in mind since day one for these. My family and I have always been big fans of old abandoned buildings, and Amarillo is home to several. Among the most notable is the Herring Hotel, which opened in 1928 and has stood empty since the 70s. Jessica and Seth both love this building, so it was the perfect place to take some really unique photos. My favorite spot was the old ballroom, where these parents-to-be shared a sweet little dance together. We couldn’t leave without snagging a shot with the hotel’s iconic chandelier as well. We spent the second half of our session outdoors enjoying a West Texas sunset. I can’t wait to welcome sweet Waverly and take a million photos of her!! Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to share them with you!
